SEE ALSO...

NDUFB5 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NDUFB5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDUFB5 (F-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NDUFB5, also known as NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 beta subcomplex, 5, plays a crucial role as an accessory subunit of Complex I, which is a vital component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Complex I catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, a process essential for cellular respiration and energy production. Complex I′s proper functioning is critical, as Complex I not only facilitates the conversion of energy stored in nutrients into ATP but also helps maintain the electrochemical gradient necessary for various cellular processes. NDUFB5 is a single-pass membrane protein located in the mitochondrial inner membrane, and NDUFB5′s interactions with other subunits of Complex I are essential for the stability and activity of the entire complex, highlighting NDUFB5′s importance in mitochondrial function and overall cellular health.
