HPA1 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects heparanase 1 (HPA1) in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HPA1 plays a critical role in the degradation of heparan sulfate side chains of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the extracellular matrix, which is essential for various physiological and pathological processes, including tumor metastasis and inflammation. By dismantling the subendothelial basal membrane, HPA1 facilitates the extravasation of blood-borne tumor cells and inflammatory leukocytes, thereby promoting cancer progression and angiogenesis. HPA1′s ability to release growth factors and cytokines upon degradation further stimulates cell proliferation and chemotaxis, highlighting HPA1′s importance in tumor vascularization and the inflammatory response. Additionally, fibroblasts can endocytose extracellular HPA1, leading to HPA1 accumulation in the cytoplasm, which may influence cellular signaling pathways. The gene encoding human HPA1 is located on chromosome 4q21.3, underscoring HPA1′s significance in human health and disease. Anti-HPA1 antibody (A-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the roles of heparanase in cancer biology and inflammation.
