GM-CSF Antibody (B6-2-hGMCSF) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GM-CSF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-GM-CSF antibody (B6-2-hGMCSF) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a crucial pleiotropic cytokine that plays a significant role in immune response by stimulating proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells into granulocytes and macrophages. The mature form of human GM-CSF consists of 127 amino acids, while the murine counterpart has 124 amino acids and shares approximately 60% homology with the human version. GM-CSF is a glycoprotein that promotes growth of immune cells and enhances functional capabilities, such as phosphorylation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) in human neutrophils, which is essential for production of inflammatory mediators. Phosphorylation of cPLA2 leads to an increase in enzymatic activity, thereby amplifying inflammatory response. GM-CSF serves as a vital target for research in immunology and therapeutic interventions, particularly in conditions where immune system is compromised or dysregulated.
