DDAH I Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDAH I of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDAH I (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDAH I, a member of the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase family, plays a crucial role in regulating nitric oxide production by hydrolyzing the endogenous inhibitors of nitric oxide synthases, asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and monomethyl arginine (MMA). This regulation is vital for maintaining vascular health, as impaired DDAH activity can lead to increased levels of ADMA, resulting in reduced nitric oxide synthesis and subsequent cardiovascular complications. DDAH I is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the colon, kidney, stomach, and liver, where DDAH I contributes to the modulation of nitric oxide levels, thereby influencing various physiological processes including vasodilation and blood flow regulation.
