AVEN Antibody (3L3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects AVEN in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AVEN, a critical cell death regulator, plays a significant role in modulating apoptosis, particularly in acute leukemias, by acting as a signal inducer. AVEN is a highly conserved peripheral membrane protein that protects cells from proteolytic activation of caspases and inhibits Apaf-1 mediated apoptosis by disrupting Apaf-1′s self-association. AVEN′s interaction with other proteins, such as Bcl-2 and Bad, further underscores AVEN′s importance in preventing apoptosis, thereby contributing to cell survival under stress conditions. AVEN is predominantly expressed in tissues such as ovary, heart, thymus, spleen, testis, and colon, with expression levels being influenced by factors like erythropoietin and methylprednisolone, particularly in cardiac tissue following traumatic brain injury. Notably, in young patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), AVEN expression may serve as a valuable prognostic indicator, highlighting AVEN′s potential clinical relevance. Anti-AVEN antibody (3L3) is an essential tool for researchers investigating apoptosis mechanisms and AVEN′s role in various diseases.
