    SEE ALSO...

APEH Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects APEH in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). APEH, also known as Acyl-peptide hydrolase, is a 732 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that functions as a homotetramer, playing a crucial role in the hydrolysis of N-terminal acetylated amino acids from small acetylated peptides. This enzymatic activity facilitates the subsequent processing of the acetyl amino acid by aminoacylases, leading to the production of acetate and free amino acids, which are vital for various metabolic processes. The gene encoding human APEH is located on chromosome 3, a region often deleted in several cancers, including renal cell carcinoma and small cell lung carcinoma, indicating a potential role for APEH in tumorigenesis. Chromosome 3 is notable for its extensive genetic content, housing over 1,100 genes, including key tumor suppressor genes such as RASSF1, which mediates apoptosis, HYAL1, which regulates cell migration, and SEMA3B, an angiogenesis suppressor. APEH (B-2) antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating the implications of APEH in cancer biology and metabolic regulation.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with APEH (B-2): sc-393452 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
