RNF8 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RNF8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RNF8 antibody (B-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNF8, also known as Ring Finger Protein 8, plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, functioning as an E3 ubiquitin ligase that facilitates the ubiquitination of target proteins, which is essential for their degradation and regulation within the cell. This process is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various cellular functions, including DNA repair, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis. RNF8 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where RNF8 interacts with the heterodimeric ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme UBC13, co-localizing to promote polyubiquitination of substrates. Additionally, RNF8 has been shown to bind to Retinoid X receptor alpha (RXRα), enhancing RXRα transcriptional activity, which underscores RNF8′s importance in gene regulation. RNF8′s ability to modulate RXRα-mediated transcription further highlights RNF8′s role in cellular signaling pathways, making RNF8 a significant target for research in cancer and other diseases where ubiquitination processes are disrupted.
