PI 3-kinase p101 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PI 3-kinase p101 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PI 3-kinase p101 (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PI 3-kinase p101, consisting of 880 amino acids, serves as a crucial regulatory subunit of the PI3 kinase γ complex, which is essential for mediating various physiological processes such as cardiac function, neutrophil chemotaxis, and mast cell degranulation. The interaction between PI 3-kinase p101 and p110γ subunit is vital for complex activation by Gβγ proteins, influencing cellular functions like apoptosis suppression, cellular transport, and cell motility. Binding of p110γ to PI 3-kinase p101 specifically depends on the N-terminal region, highlighting the importance of this structure in PI3 kinase γ complex functionality. PI 3-kinase p101 is predominantly expressed in leukocytes, spleen, lymph nodes, thymus, and bone marrow, and can be found in the nucleus, cytoplasm, or as a peripheral membrane protein, indicating a versatile role in cellular signaling. Two isoforms of PI 3-kinase p101 arise from alternative splicing, further diversifying functional capabilities within the cell.
