FHL-4 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects FHL-4 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FHL-4 antibody (D-10) is available as the non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. The four-and-a-half-LIM domain (FHL) proteins, which include FHL-1, FHL-2, FHL-3, and FHL-4, are characterized by a unique "half-domain" that features a single zinc finger domain in the N-terminal region, setting them apart from other LIM-only proteins that possess multiple zinc fingers. FHL-4 is exclusively expressed in the seminiferous epithelium of the testis, indicating a crucial role in spermatogenesis. This specific localization suggests FHL-4 may be involved in the regulation of gene expression and cellular processes essential for sperm cell development. The selective expression of FHL-4 in the testis, along with interactions with other FHL proteins, highlights an importance in male fertility and the intricate mechanisms governing reproductive biology. The genetic loci for FHL proteins vary considerably, despite similar amino acid sequences, which may contribute to distinct functional roles in different tissues.
