    SEE ALSO...

CD8-β Antibody (53-5.8) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD8 in mouse samples through immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM) applications. CD8 is a crucial cell surface glycoprotein that forms a heterodimeric complex, typically composed of either two alpha chains or an alpha and a beta chain, and plays a vital role in the immune response by binding to class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules presented by antigen-presenting cells. This interaction is essential for T cytotoxic cells, which express CD8, as it enhances the recognition of antigens by the T cell receptor (TCR), thereby strengthening the immune response against infected or malignant cells. Additionally, CD8-expressing T cells are implicated in maintaining low levels of HIV expression, highlighting CD8′s importance in both adaptive immunity and viral control. Anti-CD8-β antibody (53-5.8) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology, immune responses, and the mechanisms of viral infections, providing insights into the complex interactions that govern immune system function.

How can CD8-β (53-5.8): sc-18915 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-18915 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-18915 FITC).
