C3G Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects C3G protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-C3G antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. C3G protein plays a crucial role as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for Ras, a key regulator of numerous cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. By facilitating the exchange of GDP for GTP on Ras, C3G activates Ras signaling pathways, which are essential for normal cellular function. Dysregulation of this signaling pathway, often due to mutations in Ras or its regulatory proteins, can lead to oncogenic transformations and contribute to cancer progression. C3G gene is located on human chromosome 9q34.13, near the c-Abl proto-oncogene, highlighting potential involvement in oncogenic signaling networks. C3G interaction with the SH3 domain of the Crk proto-oncogene product further underscores significance in Ras signaling regulation, making C3G (G-4) antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways in cancer biology and cellular signaling.
