GATA-2 Antibody (CG2-96) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GATA-2 protein of mouse, rat, human, and avian origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). GATA-2 monoclonal antibody (CG2-96) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GATA-2 plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and is essential for the development of multiple blood lineages, including erythroid and myeloid cells. GATA-2 expression is particularly prominent in embryonic brain and liver tissues, as well as in endothelial and HeLa cells. GATA-2 contains a highly conserved zinc finger DNA-binding domain, which allows binding to specific DNA sequences, thereby regulating gene expression. GATA-2 has been shown to interact with other GATA family members, such as GATA-1 and GATA-3, which enhances regulatory capabilities. This interaction suggests that GATA-2 can modulate the expression of genes involved in cell differentiation and development, making GATA-2 a key player in various biological processes. Understanding GATA-2 function and interactions is vital for elucidating GATA-2′s role in normal physiology and implications in diseases such as leukemia and other hematological disorders.
