    SEE ALSO...

CD2 Antibody (TS2/18.1.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD2 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and thymocytes, as well as on mouse B cells and rat splenic macrophages. CD2 mediates cell adhesion by interacting with CD58, which enhances antigen-specific T cell activation. This interaction is vital for optimizing immune system recognition, as CD2 facilitates communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells. The importance of CD2 in immune responses underscores CD2′s potential as a therapeutic target in various immunological disorders. Anti-CD2 antibody (TS2/18.1.1) is an essential tool for researchers studying T cell activation and immune system dynamics, providing reliable detection and characterization of CD2 in human samples.

How can CD2 (TS2/18.1.1): sc-19640 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Trav11
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-19640 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-19640 FITC).
