KLRH1 Activators

Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily H, member 1 (KLRH1) activators include chemicals that influence the activation and function of natural killer (NK) cells, where KLRH1 is implicated. Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and Bryostatin 1, by activating protein kinase C (PKC), elicit a cascade of intracellular events that bolster NK cell cytotoxicity, which in turn would enhance the functional activity of KLRH1. Similarly, compounds like Ionomycin, Monensin, and Thapsigargin modulate intracellular calcium levels, a crucial element in NK cell signaling, thus indirectly supporting the activation of KLRH1 by promoting NK cell activity.

Other molecules, such as CpG Oligodeoxynucleotides, stimulate toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9), enhancing NK cell-mediated immune responses, which could lead to an upregulated function of KLRH1. The immunomodulatory effects of Lenalidomide and Imiquimod, through their action on T and NK cells, are also likely to enhance KLRH1 activity.

PMA is an activator of protein kinase C (PKC). PKC activation enhances the cytotoxic response of natural killer (NK) cells. Since KLRH1 is associated with NK cell activity, PMA can enhance the functional activity of KLRH1 by promoting NK cell cytotoxicity.
