SEE ALSO...

VDUP1 Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VDUP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VDUP1 (H-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The vitamin D3 upregulated protein 1 (VDUP1) plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, being upregulated by 1,25(OH)2D3 in reaction to oxidative stress, ultraviolet radiation, and heat shock, with the transcription factor heat shock factor potentially mediating this regulation. VDUP1 acts as a natural antagonist of thioredoxin (TRX), contributing to tumor-suppressive properties by inducing cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase, which is vital for preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. VDUP1 is essential for the expression of CD122 and the maturation of natural killer (NK) cells, although VDUP1 influence on T and B cell development is relatively minor. The gene encoding human VDUP1 is located on chromosome 1q21, and VDUP1 is ubiquitously expressed across various tissues, predominantly localizing to the cytoplasm. Given VDUP1 significant roles in immune regulation and potential implications in cancer therapy, particularly for melanoma, VDUP1 represents a promising target for further research and therapeutic development.

Do you guys have any data for IF staining with this antibody? If you do, what is the recommended dilution ?

Asked by: BoomBoomPow
This primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for IF (immunofluorescent staining of fresh or frozen tissues or cells fixed in methanol or acetone), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates! We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50 (range of 1:50-1:500) for IF.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271238 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
