Raf-1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Raf-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Raf-1 is a crucial serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a significant role in the regulation of cell signaling pathways, particularly in cell growth and differentiation. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, Raf-1 is activated by receptor tyrosine kinases and transmits signals from these receptors to downstream effectors, such as the MAPK/ERK pathway. This pathway drives various cellular processes, including proliferation and survival, making Raf-1 a key player in oncogenic signaling. Raf-1′s activity is controlled by its N-terminal domain, which suppresses kinase activity under normal conditions, preventing uncontrolled cell growth.
