PPARα Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Alpha (PPARα), also known as NR1C1, PPARA, or peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha. PPARα monoclonal antibody (H-2) is raised against amino acids 1-98 of the human PPARα protein, ensuring effective recognition in various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) across multiple species such as mouse, rat, and human. PPARα is a nuclear hormone receptor characterized by its modular structure, which includes a DNA-binding domain, a ligand-binding domain, and an N-terminal activation domain. This structural configuration is essential for PPARα′s function in regulating gene expression, as PPARα forms heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and binds to specific PPAR-response elements (PPREs) within the DNA. Located predominantly in the nucleus, especially abundant in primary hepatocytes, PPARα plays a crucial role in controlling the transcription of genes involved in fatty acid metabolism, lipid homeostasis, and energy balance. The precise structure of PPARα facilitates interaction with various ligands, such as fibrates and fatty acids, which activate transcriptional activity, and enables interaction with other nuclear receptors like LXRα and thyroid receptors that can modulate DNA binding. Understanding the structural dynamics of PPARα is vital for elucidating its role in metabolic processes and involvement in conditions such as metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and liver function. Anti-PPARα antibody (H-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of PPARα-mediated pathways, providing reliable detection and analysis that support advancements in molecular biology and therapeutic development.
