Pim-1 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Pim-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pim-1 antibody (G-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pim-1 is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways, particularly in lymphoid cell transformation, where Pim-1 cooperates with c-Myc. This interaction is vital for the regulation of cell proliferation and survival, making Pim-1 an important factor in oncogenesis. Notably, Pim-1 expression increases during the transition from early to late G1 phase of the cell cycle, remaining elevated at the G1/S boundary and throughout the G2 phase, which underscores its significance in cell cycle regulation. Pim-1 is regulated at both transcriptional and translational levels, with Pim-1 expression being induced by interleukin-2 stimulation, highlighting Pim-1′s role in T cell differentiation and function. Pim-1 has been shown to stimulate c-Myc-mediated apoptosis upstream of caspase-3-like proteases, further emphasizing Pim-1′s importance in cellular processes and potential implications in cancer research.
