OX2 Antibody (1.BB.648) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects OX2 in mouse and rat samples through immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM) applications. OX2, also known as CD200, is a 248-residue cell surface glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, primarily expressed in lymphoid cells, neurons, and endothelial tissues. OX2 monoclonal antibody (1.BB.648) recognizes a protein that interacts with OX2R, which is predominantly found in lymphoid and neuronal tissues. This interaction is crucial as OX2 may help regulate pathways that suppress macrophage-induced inflammatory damage, thereby maintaining tissue homeostasis. Notably, OX2R is characterized by a cytoplasmic domain containing NPXY motifs that facilitate binding to phosphotyrosine-binding (PTB) domains, further underscoring the importance of this signaling pathway in immune regulation. With a high degree of N-linked glycosylation, accounting for up to 70% of its weight, OX2R′s structure is essential for function and interaction with OX2, making anti-OX2 antibody (1.BB.648) a valuable tool for researchers studying immune modulation and inflammation in various biological contexts.
