NOS1 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), also known as NOS1 or ncNOS. NOS1 monoclonal antibody (A-11) targets an epitope comprising amino acids 2-300 of the human NOS1 protein, ensuring reliable recognition of NOS1 across mouse, rat, and human species in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Neuronal nitric oxide synthase is pivotal in the production of nitric oxide (NO), a critical signaling molecule involved in diverse biological processes including neurotransmission, vascular regulation, and immune response modulation. The function of NOS1 is essential for maintaining cellular communication and homeostasis, as NOS1 catalyzes the conversion of L-arginine to NO, a reaction that requires homodimerization and the presence of multiple cofactors such as NADPH, FAD, FMN, calmodulin, tetrahydrobiopterin, and heme. Understanding the activity of NOS1 is important because NOS1 differentiates the roles of various nitric oxide synthase isoforms, including the inducible NOS2 and the endothelial NOS3, each contributing uniquely to physiological and pathological states. NOS1 mouse monoclonal antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated form and a range of conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, making NOS1 monoclonal antibody (A-11) versatile for numerous experimental setups. By facilitating the precise detection and study of NOS1, NOS1 (A-11) antibody supports advanced research into NO-mediated signaling pathways and their implications in health and disease, ultimately contributing to the development of targeted therapeutic strategies.
