    SEE ALSO...

MAP-4 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects MAP-4 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP-4 is a crucial microtubule-associated protein that plays a significant role in the assembly and stability of microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeletal network. MAP-4 influences the spatial organization of microtubules within cells, thereby facilitating various cellular processes, including mitosis and intracellular transport. MAP-4 is primarily expressed in tissues such as the kidney, lung, liver, testis, and spleen, where MAP-4 contributes to the formation of interphase microtubules and the dynamics of mitotic spindle fibers. MAP-4′s structure includes three 18-amino-acid repeats that are homologous to those found in other microtubule-associated proteins, underscoring MAP-4′s evolutionary significance and functional versatility. By promoting microtubule assembly and stability, MAP-4 is vital for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating proper cell division, making MAP-4 an important target for research in cell biology and related fields.
