    SEE ALSO...

Ly-49F Antibody (5K30) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ly-49F protein of mouse origin by flow cytometry (FCM). anti-Ly-49F antibody (5K30) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE) and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing flexibility for different experimental needs. Ly-49F protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell activity, which is essential for the immune response against tumors and virally infected cells. Specifically, Ly-49F is a member of the C-type lectin superfamily of type II membrane glycoproteins, which are known for their ability to recognize class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. This recognition helps NK cells distinguish between healthy and abnormal cells, thereby preventing the proliferation of potentially harmful cells. Ly-49F isoform, along with other Ly-49 proteins, is clustered on human chromosome 16 and functions by presenting the C-type lectin domain on the cell membrane, facilitating interactions with MHC class I molecules. Understanding Ly-49F function and interactions is important for developing therapeutic strategies that enhance NK cell responses in cancer immunotherapy and other diseases.
