    JFC1 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JFC1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JFC1 Antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JFC1, also known as Slp1 (synaptotagmin-like protein), plays a crucial role in vesicular trafficking, which is essential for processes such as neurotransmitter release and hormone secretion. JFC1 is characterized by two N-terminal Slp homology domains (SHD1 and SHD2), which contain conserved α-helical regions that specifically bind to the GTP-bound form of Rab 27a, a small GTPase involved in regulating vesicle transport. The interaction between JFC1 and Rab 27a is vital for proper localization and function of synaptic vesicles, highlighting JFC1′s importance in maintaining cellular communication and signaling pathways. JFC1 is transcriptionally activated by NFκB and upregulated by TNFα in prostate carcinoma cells, indicating a potential role in cancer biology. JFC1 primarily associates with the plasma membrane, further emphasizing JFC1′s significance in cellular dynamics and signaling.

    We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems.
