GSTA3 Antibody (L89) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GSTA3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GSTA3 antibody (L89) is available as non-conjugated format. GSTA3, or glutathione S-transferase A3, is a crucial member of the alpha family of glutathione S-transferases, which play a vital role in detoxifying harmful compounds, including carcinogens and environmental toxins. GSTA3 is predominantly expressed in steroidogenic tissues such as placenta, ovary, adrenal gland, and testis, where GSTA3 localizes to the cytoplasm. GSTA3 structure is characterized by two GST domains, one at the N-terminus and another at the C-terminus, which are essential for enzymatic activity. GSTA3 is involved in xenobiotic metabolism and steroid biosynthesis, efficiently catalyzing the isomerization of endogenous D5-3-ketosteroids, thereby contributing to steroid hormone level regulation. GSTA3′s ability to interact with various substrates underscores GSTA3′s importance in cellular defense mechanisms against toxicant-induced damage, making anti-GSTA3 antibody (L89) a valuable tool for researchers studying detoxification processes and steroidogenesis in human tissues.
