FOXP3 Antibody (2A11G9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the FOXP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXP3 (2A11G9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOXP3, also known as scurfin, plays a critical role in maintaining immune homeostasis by acting as a transcriptional repressor. FOXP3 is essential for the development and function of regulatory T cells, which are crucial for preventing autoimmune diseases and maintaining tolerance to self-antigens. Mutations in the FOXP3 gene can lead to immune dysregulation, resulting in the severe X-linked disorder known as immune dysregulation, polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, X-linked syndrome (IPEX). FOXP3′s ability to bind DNA through its forkhead domain allows regulation of genes involved in T cell activation and differentiation, highlighting FOXP3′s importance in the immune response. The gene encoding FOXP3 is located on the X chromosome at position Xp11.23, and FOXP3 expression is tightly regulated during T cell development, making FOXP3 a vital marker for identifying and studying regulatory T cells in various research and clinical applications.
