FLUO 3, sel de pentaammonium est un chélateur et un indicateur de Ca2+ qui fonctionne à des longueurs d'onde d'excitation plus grandes. Cela permet de réduire les interférences dues à l'autofluorescence endogène et offre la possibilité d'une utilisation simultanée avec d'autres sondes fluorescentes.
