SEE ALSO...

CLIC6 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CLIC6 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLIC6 (E-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Chloride intracellular channel 6 (CLIC6) is a probable chloride ion channel that plays a vital role in water-secreting cells by regulating chloride ion transport, which is crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis and fluid balance. CLIC6 is distinguished from other members of the chloride channel family by its unique structure; CLIC6 is significantly longer and features a GC-rich segment that encodes a 10-amino-acid motif repeated 14 times at the amino-terminus. This structural complexity indicates specialized functions and interactions within the cell. CLIC6 gene exemplifies large-scale segmental paralogy, with a substantial segment on human chromosome 21 being triplicated on chromosomes 1 and 6. CLIC6 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm but translocates to the plasma membrane upon chloride ion efflux, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular signaling. CLIC6 is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, placenta, pancreas, and liver, and has been shown to interact with dopamine receptors DRD2, DRD3, and DRD4, further underscoring importance in neurotransmission and cellular communication. CLIC6 is a 704-amino-acid protein with two known isoforms, A and B, and is also referred to as parchorin in rabbit models.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365303 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
