c-Fms/CSF-1R Antibody (3-4A4) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects c-Fms/CSF-1R in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). c-Fms/CSF-1R (3-4A4) monoclonal antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-Fms/CSF-1R, also known as macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor (M-CSFR), FIM2, or CD115, is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor that plays a crucial role in the growth and differentiation of myeloid cells. c-Fms/CSF-1R is encoded by the c-Fms proto-oncogene and is predominantly expressed in mononuclear phagocytes, oocytes, decidual cells, trophoblastic cells, and certain myoblasts. c-Fms/CSF-1R mediates the functions of M-CSF, a glycoprotein essential for the proliferation and differentiation of mononuclear phagocytes, including osteoclasts. Additionally, M-CSF is a key player in the inflammatory response, regulating the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines from macrophages, which underscores the significance of c-Fms/CSF-1R in both immune response and tissue homeostasis.
