    SEE ALSO...

BAT2 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BAT2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BAT2 Antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAT2, also known as G2, is a 2,157 amino acid protein localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm, crucial for regulating pre-mRNA splicing. This localization allows BAT2 to interact with spliceosomal components and other regulatory proteins, influencing gene expression and cellular function. BAT2 gene is situated within a cluster of BAT genes on human chromosome 6, a region significant for involvement in immune response regulation and association with various diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Chromosome 6, spanning 170 million base pairs and constituting nearly 6% of human genome, is linked to several health conditions, such as Porphyria cutanea tarda and Parkinson′s disease, highlighting BAT2′s importance in both normal cellular processes and disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373747 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
