SEE ALSO...

Axotrophin Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Axotrophin protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Axotrophin antibody (B-2) comes in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. Axotrophin (B-2) antibody recognizes a protein crucial for T lymphocyte regulation, specifically in cell proliferation modulation and leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) release - a neuropoietic cytokine essential for stem cell maintenance and thymocyte activation. Axotrophin monoclonal antibody (B-2) targets a protein that interacts with LIF in transplantation intolerance, highlighting their role in immune response and tissue compatibility. Axotrophin (B-2) monoclonal antibody identifies a protein involved in corpus callosum differentiation and sensory neuron survival in the substantia gelatinosa of adult spinal cord, particularly in a glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor-dependent manner. Anti-Axotrophin antibody (B-2) detects expression predominantly in hippocampus, cortex, and cerebellar purkinje and granule cells, emphasizing Axotrophin′s importance in neurodevelopment and function.

I am using Axotrophin (B-2): sc-166945 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
