Datasheets
  • Adipsin Antibody (H13/11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against complement protein factor D purified from human serum
  • recommended for detection of Adipsin of human origin by WB and IP
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Adipsin Antibody (H13/11) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Adipsin Antibody (H13/11) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Adipsin Antibody (H13/11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Adipsin in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Adipsin, also known as complement Factor D, plays a crucial role in the complement system, which is essential for immune response and inflammation regulation. This serine protease is primarily secreted by adipose tissue, where anti-Adipsin antibody (H13/11) can detect its involvement in the cleavage of complement factor B when complexed with activated complement component C3, thereby facilitating the activation of the alternative pathway of the complement system. The importance of Adipsin extends beyond enzymatic function; Adipsin monoclonal antibody (H13/11) has helped reveal implications in metabolic processes and potential influence on obesity-related conditions. Notably, while low levels of Adipsin have been observed in obese mice with hypothalamic defects, the relationship between Adipsin expression and obesity in humans remains to be fully elucidated. Adipsin (H13/11) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating roles in metabolic disorders and immune responses.
