SEE ALSO...

ADAM28 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM28 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ADAM28 antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM28, a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) family, plays a crucial role in mediating cell adhesion, particularly through interaction with integrin α4β1, which is essential for various physiological processes such as immune response and tissue development. ADAM28 is predominantly expressed on the cell surface of lymphocytes and in the epididymis, highlighting importance in reproductive biology and immune function. ADAM28 includes several functional domains, such as a metalloprotease domain and a disintegrin domain, which facilitate enzymatic activity and interactions with other proteins. The gene encoding human ADAM28 is located on chromosome 8p12, and unique evolutionary relationship to snake venom metalloproteases suggests potential insights into functional mechanisms and therapeutic applications.
