La triprostatina A es una diketopiperazina. Detiene la progresión del ciclo celular en la fase G2/M. Inhibe la proteína de resistencia al cáncer de mama transportadora ABC y, por tanto, invierte la resistencia de las células cancerosas frente a los fármacos antitumorales. Inhibidor del ensamblaje de microtúbulos dependiente de MAP.
