TNF-R2 Antibody (TR75-89) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects TNF-R2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TNF-R2, also known as tumor necrosis factor receptor 2, plays a crucial role in mediating immune responses and inflammation by interacting with its ligand, tumor necrosis factor (TNF). This receptor is predominantly expressed on immune cells, where it contributes to cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation, making it vital for maintaining immune homeostasis. The importance of TNF-R2 lies in its ability to modulate the immune response, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases and cancer, where its signaling pathways can influence disease progression and therapeutic outcomes. TNF-R2 monoclonal antibody (TR75-89) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs.

Can TNF-R2 (TR75-89): sc-12750 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, TNF-R2 (TR75-89): sc-12750 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
