STAMBPL1 Antibody (C-11) is a high quality monoclonal STAMBPL1 antibody (also designated STAMBPL1 antibody) suitable for the detection of the STAMBPL1 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. STAMBPL1 Antibody (C-11) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-STAMBPL1 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-STAMBPL1 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STAMBPL1 (STAM-binding protein-like 1), also known as AMSH-FP, AMSH-LP (associated molecule with the SH3 domain of STAM like protein) or ALMalpha, is a 436 amino acid protein that belongs to the peptidase M67C family, contains one MPN domain and a JAMM motif that is essential for protease activity. Existing as two alternatively spliced isoforms, STAMBPL1 is a ubiquitously expressed protein that binds two zinc ions per subunit and acts as a zinc metalloprotease that specifically cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains. The gene that encodes STAMBPL1 maps to human chromosome 10q23.31. Chromosome 10 contains over 800 genes and 135 million nucleotides, making up nearly 4.5% of the human genome. PTEN is an important tumor suppressor gene located on chromosome 10 and, when defective, causes a genetic predisposition to cancer development known as Cowden syndrome. The chromosome 10 encoded gene ERCC6 is important for DNA repair and is linked to Cockayne syndrome which is characterized by extreme photosensitivity and premature aging. Tetrahydrobiopterin deficiency and a number of syndromes involving defective skull and facial bone fusion are also linked to chromosome 10.
