    SEE ALSO...

NIPSNAP1/2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NIPSNAP1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NIPSNAP1/2 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NIPSNAP1 protein, which is 228 amino acids long, plays a crucial role in modulating the activity of the transient receptor potential vanilloid 6 (TRPV6) channel, a key player in calcium homeostasis. By inhibiting TRPV6 currents, NIPSNAP1 regulates calcium entry across the plasma membrane in tissues such as the pancreas and placenta, which is vital for numerous physiological processes, including muscle contraction and neurotransmitter release. NIPSNAP1 does not alter the membrane expression of TRPV6, indicating that NIPSNAP1′s inhibitory effect is mediated through a mechanism that does not involve reducing the number of channels at the cell surface. NIPSNAP2, also known as glioblastoma amplified sequence (GBAS), is a 286 amino acid protein that is predominantly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle, suggesting NIPSNAP2′s involvement in vesicular transport and cellular signaling pathways. With diverse applications and critical role in calcium regulation, anti-NIPSNAP1/2 antibody (F-4) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying these important proteins.
