SEE ALSO...

Mfn2 Antibody (XX-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mfn2 antibody (XX-1) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. Mitofusin 2 plays a critical role in mitochondrial dynamics, specifically in mitochondrial fusion, which maintains mitochondrial function and cellular energy homeostasis. Mfn2 (XX-1) monoclonal antibody recognizes proteins primarily located in the outer mitochondrial membrane, where Mfn2 facilitates the merging of adjacent mitochondria, promoting mitochondrial integrity and function. This process is particularly important in tissues with high energy demands, such as heart and muscle, where efficient mitochondrial function is crucial for overall cellular health. Dysregulation of Mitofusin 2 has been implicated in various pathologies, including neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders, highlighting Mfn2′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states. Mitofusin 2 interacts with several other proteins involved in mitochondrial dynamics and cellular signaling, underscoring Mfn2′s role as a key player in mitochondrial regulation.
