    SEE ALSO...

KPI-2 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KPI-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KPI-2 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KPI-2, also known as kinase/phosphatase/inhibitor 2, BREK, LMR2, cprk, AATYK2, or lemur tyrosine kinase 2 (LMTK2), is a 1,503 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and protein tyrosine kinase family. KPI-2 is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle, with weaker expression in brain and pancreas. KPI-2 features N-terminal transmembrane helices and a long C-terminal cytoplasmic tail that exhibits serine/threonine/tyrosine kinase activity. KPI-2 plays a crucial role in nerve growth factor (NGF)-TrkA signaling, endosomal membrane trafficking, and spermatogenesis, and is essential for transitioning endocytosed membrane vesicles from early endosomes to recycling endosomes. KPI-2 localizes to cytoplasmic membrane vesicles and perinuclear recycling endosomes, underscoring KPI-2′s importance in cellular transport processes. Additionally, KPI-2 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target for prostate cancer, highlighting KPI-2′s significance in cancer research and treatment strategies.
