HPV16 E6/18 E6 Antibody (C1P5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically raised against the E6 proteins of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18, also known as HPV16 E6 and HPV18 E6. The E6 proteins are early viral oncoproteins essential for HPV-mediated oncogenesis. They function primarily by promoting the degradation of the tumor suppressor protein p53, thereby inhibiting apoptosis and allowing unchecked cellular proliferation. Additionally, E6 interacts with other host cellular proteins such as hTERT and E6AP, contributing to the viral transformation process. HPV16 and HPV18 are high-risk HPV types strongly associated with the majority of cervical cancers and other anogenital and oropharyngeal cancers. HPV16 E6/18 E6 (C1P5) monoclonal antibody is a valuable tool for detecting and studying the mechanisms of HPV-induced carcinogenesis. Anti-HPV16 E6/18 E6 antibody (C1P5) reacts with HPV16 and HPV18 E6 proteins in various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Understanding the function and interaction of E6 with host cellular proteins is crucial for developing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies against HPV-related cancers, making HPV16 E6/18 E6 (C1P5) antibody an essential reagent for cancer research.
