Datasheets
  • HLA-C Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 91-123 within an internal region of HLA-C of human origin
  • recommended for detection of HLA-C of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • See MHC class I (W6/32): sc-32235 for HLA-C antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for HLA-C Antibody (H-5) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with HLA-C Antibody (H-5) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

HLA-C Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-C of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLA-C Antibody (H-5) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. HLA-C, a member of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, plays a crucial role in immune response by presenting peptides derived from intracellular proteins to CD8+ cytotoxic T cells, thereby facilitating recognition and elimination of infected or malignant cells. HLA-C consists of a heavy chain non-covalently associated with β-2-microglobulin, forming a stable complex essential for antigen presentation. The polymorphic nature of HLA-C allows for diverse peptide binding, vital for immune system recognition of various pathogens. Expression of HLA-C is regulated by cytokines, which influence immune responses and disease susceptibility. Understanding HLA-C structural dynamics provides insights into T cell receptor interactions and implications in transplant rejection and autoimmune disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166134 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
