    SEE ALSO...

GCDFP-15 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GCDFP-15 of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GCDFP-15 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Gross cystic disease fluid protein 15 (GCDFP-15), also known as prolactin inducible protein (PIP), plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes related to breast tissue, particularly in breast cancer, where GCDFP-15 serves as a significant biomarker. GCDFP-15 is primarily expressed in exocrine glands and is found in various bodily fluids, including saliva, tears, and sweat, highlighting GCDFP-15′s importance in physiological and pathological conditions. GCDFP-15 is detectable in approximately 50% of breast cancer specimens, making GCDFP-15 a valuable target for cancer diagnostics. The PIP gene, which encodes GCDFP-15, is located on chromosome 7′s long arm, a region often altered in mammary tumors, underscoring GCDFP-15′s relevance in oncogenic processes. GCDFP-15′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in cellular signaling pathways further emphasizes GCDFP-15′s potential role in cancer progression and treatment response, making anti-GCDFP-15 antibody (C-12) an essential tool for researchers studying breast cancer and related diseases.
