    SEE ALSO...

galectin-2 Antibody (C6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects galectin-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-galectin-2 antibody (C6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Galectins, including galectin-2, are a family of soluble β-galactoside-binding lectins that play crucial roles in various biological processes, such as cell-to-cell adhesion and interactions with the extracellular matrix, which are vital for maintaining tissue integrity and regulating immune responses. Galectin-2, also known as LGALS2, Lactose-binding lectin 2, or HL14, is primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and is structurally similar to galectin-1. Notably, galectin-2 has been shown to induce apoptosis in activated T cells and interacts with cytokine lymphotoxin-α (LTA), suggesting involvement in immune regulation and potential implications in myocardial infarction risk. The ability of galectin-2 to modulate immune cell behavior highlights importance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions, making galectin-2 (C6) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes.
