E-cadherin (CDH1) is a calcium-dependent cell–cell adhesion glycoprotein that mediates adherens junction formation and epithelial tissue integrity in canine cells. Through its cytoplasmic association with catenins, E-cadherin connects to the actin cytoskeleton and regulates epithelial polarity, contact inhibition, and barrier function. Loss or dysregulation of E-cadherin perturbs junctional signaling and can promote epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) programs, with downstream effects on Wnt/β-catenin signaling, migration, and invasion-related phenotypes. Altered E-cadherin expression and junctional architecture are commonly studied in the context of tumor progression, fibrosis, and inflammatory remodeling in epithelial tissues.
E-cadherin CRISPR/Cas9 KO Plasmid (canine) is a pool of plasmids designed for targeted disruption of the gene in canine cell lines. Each plasmid co-expresses a unique single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting a distinct site within the together with the Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 nuclease.
