A paramagnetic nitroxide thiol-specific spin label that is highly reactive. Used in studies to monitor intermolecular interactions amongst various tau molecules. Also used in experiments with cysteine to add a nitroxide side chain that exhibits greater mobility contrast between helix surfaces and tertiary contact sites.
