1-Naphthohydroxamic Acid is a selective and potent HDAC inhibitor with an IC50 value of 14 µM for class I HDAC1 and class II HDAC6. In contrast to pan-HDAC inhibitors, the compound does not reduce total intracellular HDAC activity.
