Der von Willebrand Factor/VWF Antikörper (C-12) ist ein monoklonaler Maus IgG1 κ VWF-Antikörper, der VWF von Maus-, Ratte- und menschlicher Herkunft mittels WB, IP, IF und ELISA nachweist. Der von Willebrand Factor/VWF Antikörper (C-12) ist als nicht-konjugierte Form des Anti-VWF-Antikörpers sowie als mehrere konjugierte Formen des Anti-VWF-Antikörpers, einschließlich Agarose, HRP, PE, FITC und mehreren Alexa Fluor®-Konjugaten, erhältlich. Die von Willebrand-Krankheit ist eine angeborene Blutungsstörung, die durch Defekte im von Willebrand-Faktor-Protein (VWF) verursacht wird. VWF ist ein multimeres Glykoprotein, das in Endothelzellen, Plasma und Thrombozyten vorkommt und an der Gerinnung des Blutes an Verletzungsstellen beteiligt ist. VWF fungiert als Trägerprotein für Faktor VIII, ein Kofaktor, der für die Gerinnung erforderlich ist, und es fördert die Adhäsion und Aggregation von Thrombozyten. Mehrere Faktoren sind bekannt, die die Bindung von VWF an Thrombozyten stimulieren, einschließlich Glykoprotein 1b, Ristocetin, Botrocetin, Kollagen, Sulfatide und Heparin. Von den mehreren Domänen, die in VWF enthalten sind, wurde gezeigt, dass die A1-, A2- und A3-Domänen diese Aktivierung vermitteln.
