Tim23 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Tim23 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tim23 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tim23 plays a crucial role in the translocation of nuclear-encoded preproteins into the mitochondrial matrix, a process essential for mitochondrial function and cellular energy production. Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, Tim23 is part of the translocase of the inner membrane (Tim) complex, which also includes Tim17 and Tim44.
