TCR Antibody (H57-597) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects T cell antigen receptor (TCR) in mouse samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-TCR antibody (H57-597) specifically recognizes TCR, a crucial component of the adaptive immune response, which plays a vital role in identifying and responding to foreign antigens. TCR is a heterodimer that can be composed of either alpha and beta chains or gamma and delta chains, with the alpha/beta form being predominant in approximately 95% of circulating T cells. This receptor is essential for T cell activation, as TCR transmits signals that lead to the differentiation and proliferation of T cells upon antigen recognition. TCR is expressed on T helper and T cytotoxic cells, which can be distinguished by their respective CD4 and CD8 co-receptors. CD4 enhances the interaction between TCR and class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules, thereby increasing the efficiency of T cell activation. Understanding the structure and function of TCR is critical for developing targeted immunotherapies and vaccines, as TCR directly influences the immune system′s ability to recognize and eliminate pathogens.
