Der SerpinB6-Antikörper (F-5) ist ein monoklonaler Maus IgG2b κ SerpinB6-Antikörper, der SerpinB6 von maus- und rattenartigem Ursprung mittels WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) und ELISA detektiert. Der SerpinB6-Antikörper (F-5) ist als nicht-konjugierte Form des anti-SerpinB6-Antikörpers sowie als mehrere konjugierte Formen des anti-SerpinB6-Antikörpers, einschließlich Agarose, HRP, PE, FITC und mehreren Alexa Fluor®-Konjugaten, erhältlich. Mitglieder der Serin-Protease-Inhibitor-Superfamilie werden gemeinsam als Serpins bezeichnet. Inhibitory Serpins bilden typischerweise 1:1-Komplexe mit ihren Zielproteasen, die oft SDS-stabile Assoziationen sind. SerpinB6, auch als Proteaseinhibitor 6 (PI-6) beim Menschen und Spi3 bei der Maus bekannt, ist ein Serin-Proteaseinhibitor mit Antitrypsin- und Antichymotrypsin-Aktivität. Obwohl die meisten Serpins sekretierte Glykoproteine sind, die extrazelluläre Proteasen regulieren, fehlt SerpinB6 die klassische Nukleuslokalisation und es zeigt hauptsächlich eine zytoplasmatische Verteilung und wird nicht durch konventionelle Methoden sekretiert. SerpinB6 ist in den meisten Geweben in Kapillarendothelzellen, Thrombozyten, epithelialen Zellen, Monozyten und Granulozyten vorhanden. SerpinB6 bindet die arginin-selektive Protease Human Kallikrein 2 (hK2) sowie die Monozyten- und Granulozyten-azurophilen Granuloprotease Kathepsin G. Bei der Maus gibt es drei SerpinB6-Gene, nämlich SerpinB6a, SerpinB6b und SerpinB6c.
