Propofol Glucuronide is a metabolite following rapid clearance of Propofol linked with glucuronidation by the uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferases. The compound has been used as a standard to develop a liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy bioanalytical assay for in vitro enzyme kinetics and in vivo pharmacokinetics of of glucuronides.
